Many of Detroit's architecturally significant buildings are on the National Register of Historic Places and the city has one of United States' largest surviving collections of late 19th and early 20th century buildings. There are a number of architecturally significant churches and cathedrals throughout the city including St. Joseph's, Old St. Mary's, the Sweetest Heart of Mary and the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament. The Detroit Historical Society provides information about tours of area churches, skyscrapers, and mansions. (Wikipedia)
